페니캔디는 전통 문양 속 ‘상상의 여백’을 자신만의 해석과 이야기를 더하는 공간으로 바라봅니다.
문양에 담긴 의미를 상상하고, 손으로 만들고 사용하는 경험으로 이어갑니다.
이러한 경험을 통해 문양에 담긴 마음에 공감하고, 그 마음을 함께 나눌 수 있는 물건을 만들고 싶습니다.
Pennycandy sees the “space for imagination” within traditional patterns as a place where each person can add their own interpretation and story. We imagine the meanings embedded in these patterns and turn them into experiences of making and using things by hand. Through these experiences, we hope to connect with the emotions and intentions held within traditional patterns and create objects that allow those feelings to be shared.
